Fender Stratocaster

Ed plays with an all-black electric Eric Clapton signature Fender Stratocaster Guitar. A Fernandez sustainer kit has been added to the guitars, It can be seen on tracks such as 'My Iron Lung' where he uses an Ebow as well as a wammy bar to create the unique sounds at the beginning of the song. It can also be seen during live performances of 'Lucky' amongst others. He uses silver and gold lace sensor pickups.
Rickenbacker 360
Ed can be seen using a rickenbacker 360, the fireglo colour, during live performances of songs such as 'no surprises' and 'Karma Police'. Ed also has a 12 string rickenback 360, distinguishable from the 6-string because of it's black colour. The 12 string can be seen during 'Airbag'.
Gibson ES
In the picture, Ed is using a red '67 Gibson ES 335 electric guitar, and can be seen on alot of the songs from 'Hail To The Thief'. Ed also uses a Gibson ES 330 during some of the bands earlier songs, such as 'Fake Plastic Trees'.
Fender Telecaster
A Fender Telecaster is another favourite of Ed's these days. It is a craem-ish coloured guitar with a white pickguard and can be seen during live performances of '2+2=5' and 'I Might Be Wrong'.
Homemade Guitar
One of Ed's favourite guitars is a guitar made by the bands technician Plank. It is a semi hollow body which resembles the rickenbacker shape, and has two dual red lace sensor pickups. It has a volume and a tone knob, a pickup selector, and a whammy bar. This guitar is used by Ed for alot of the older songs from 'The Bends' and 'OK Computer'.
