JONNY GREENWOOD
Music Gear/equipment used
GUITAR

In the early days of Radiohead, Jonny used a telecaster plus. It had a dual red lace sensor pickup at the bridge, which acted like a humbucker, and a blue lace sensor pickup in the neck. A cut-off switch had been installed by the bands technician, Plank. However, the bands eqiupment was stolen in Denver in 1995, including Jonnys guitars, which were no longer produced. Jonny then started playing a standard telecaster from that moment on, which had been converted into a plus, using the same lace sensor pickups as well as the custom cut-off switch. Several other unknown modifications have also been made to jonnys telecaster by Plank.

Jonny can also be seen using a Fender Starcaster live on such songs as 'Let Down', 'The Tourit', 'Subterranean Homesick Alien' but was predominantly used in the 'Kid A' and 'Amnesiac' recordings. The guitar consists of a two wide range double humbuckers and was in production from the late 70s until the early 80s. Its unknown whether any modifications were made to this guitar.
