Thomas Edward Yorke was born on the 7th of October, 1968 in Wellingborough, England.

Thom lives with his long term girlfriend Rachel, and has two children, Noah and Agnes. The albm 'Amnesiac' was dedicated to Noah, while Thoms solo ablum, 'The Eraser' was dedicated to Agnes.

Thom was born with his left eye paralysed and underwent several operations to fix it, the last of which left him with the permanently drooping eyelid.

Thom received his first guitar aged seven, and was in a band, 'TNT' when attending Abington boys school. He formed the band 'On a Friday' with fellow pupils Colin Greenwood and Ed O'Brien. They were later joined by Phil Selway and Colin's younger brother, Jonny.

Thom studied English & Art in Exter University before pursueing a career with Radiohead.

Thom is a multi-instrumentalist, he plays the guitar, Keyboard and is also able to play the drums and the bass.

Many believe that Thom is one of the best singer around, his distinctive falsetto and his abitity to hit ans sustain high notes sets him apart from the rest.

Thom is mainly responsible for all the Radiohead songs, he creates the bones of the song. He writes (most of) the lyrics and the melodies, and the others then arrange the song.

In recent years, Thom has become more interested in computer generated electronic music, and in 2006 released his debut solo album, 'The Eraser'.
